Removed heating elements and dropped new drip bowls in and replaced new elements
All I did was take out the old drip bowls and broken element and put in the new. I have had a difficult time trying to find the parts, but PartSelect made it so easy and the parts were the correct ones for my old JennAir stove.
This was so easy. I've looked for years in stores for these pans. I finally tried the Internet, found PartSelects and, holding my breath at what i'd find, voila'...perfect fit, perfect replacements. And it took just a couple days to arrive. I'll definately be back! /John
just replaced by hand .
Replaced the drip pans
Took out the old element, ring and drip and replaced with new.
Pulled out the old burner and plugged in the new!
I removed the old heating element, then the drip pan and then the adaptor ring. I cleaned the residue and buildup that was under the ring and on the surface below, I then snapped in to place the adaptor ring and then oriented and placed the drip bowl in place and finally oriented and pushed the heater element leads into their socket.I turned the heating dial on and immediately felt the element warming up.Checked Low temp and then Hi temp. Everything is working and looking fine. The wife wants to replace the other ones, she says that it's easier than cleaning them.
The repairs were very simple we just disconnected one screw then removed the old one and replace with new one. The left side took a little longer, because of the 8 screws we needed to remove to take the back panel off. But once we had it taken off the replacement was a snap. Nothing to it.
No brain surgery required. Removed electric burner, put in new drip pans. Voila! Good for many more years of service looking like new.
I installed a new infinite switch, which created a new problem. The large burner switch turned the small burner on. I replaced the large burner switch an that stopped that problem. But now the small burner still only comes on to high temp. Need help in determining how to correct that problem.I had already replaced the small burner switch before I replaced the large burner switch and I still have the small burner only coming onn to high heat.
replaced drip pans--they fit perfectly and look great!
Our old Jenn-air cooktop was at least 28 years old. They looked bad.We didn't see the need to buy a whole cooktop when the rest of the stove, fan, etc. still worked great. So I got on the Partselect web site and found a black radiant cartridge. It came exactly the day the said it would. I took out the old coil cartridge and plugged the new one. Lo, my stove now looks modern. We also ordered a terminal block. With this my husband repaired the old burned out coil burner and in about 20 minutes I had a spare to use with my canner. I really like the new cartridge and plan to buy another one. It was a pleasure to do business with Partselect.
