3 out 4 surface burner knobs were broken
Simply pulledoff and threw away the old bad knobs and slipped the new ones on in thier place- four working burners now!
Most amazing thing was I ordered the parts one afternoon and they arrived the very next day.

Old knobs broken and couldn't turn on burner
Replacement parts fit as suggested by model number (newer parts are a little different but fit fine). Grates look a bit more modern but hopefully will work fine too.

My old knobs melted when someone placed a hot cookie sheet on them
This wasn't a repair; it was a desperately needed replacement. I simply popped off my old knobs and put the new ones on in less than 1 minute. The new knobs took years off my beloved gas Jenn-Air stove.

Old parts needed replacement
Removed old knobs and grease filter and replaced with new ones. Excellent service, parts arrived the day after I ordered them. Everything fit perfectly and was just as described on the website. I would certainly use PartSelect again for replacement parts on any listed appliance.

One of the surface burner knobs melted and then cracked
the hardest part of the whole thing was finding the part... partselect.com made it easy. the part was delivery quickly using regular mail, and I was simply able to slide the new knob on.

Knobs were no longer legible
Simply remove old control knobs and replaced with the new ones. I talked to the saleswoman and she was extremely helpful and assured me it was the right part. And it was.

The new maytag knobs did not depress the half-round metal post and therefore did not allow the knobs to turn.
Inside the knob, I placed a dab of CA glue on the small plastic projection , which was designed to press against the metal post, but was just shy of it. By thus building it up the knobs function perfectly.

Though the part number was the same it did not fit
The knob neck was 1/4 inches to long. Therefore it could not be used.
