Both ice and water trigger paddles broken off.
I called in a pro repairman, but he had a problen removing the facia plate on the front of the door. It was not attached by spring clips as he had assumed, but rather double sided tape with a very strong adhesive. This is where the knife came in as he laboriously worked it around the facia plate to break the adhesion of the tape. From the time he got the plate off things went fairly swiftly, as he proceeded to remove the screws under the plate; more screws inside the door so the mechanism could be pulled out the back. The parts fit perfectly and all was soon reassembled if reverse order. The repairman used more adhesive to replace the facia plate. The repair was complete and all functioned well.
