Minor touch up repairs and missing parts to fridge
Was self-explanatory, but the site was very useful with the drawings to figure out what parts I needed to order

Torn door gasket - cold air leaks out
The repair goes much easier if the door is removed. The door is bulky and that's the difficult part. Once its on the table, unscrew to get old one off, put new one in place and re screw. (there are many screws) Then bulky door needs to be placed back onto the refrigerator. Again difficult positioning, weight, bulky. The door comes off and goes on very easily (2 mins to get off, 10 to put back on). Just 3 lower screws. This job could have taken less than an hour if I had started with a removed door.

Door seal worn out, needed replacement
To make instalation much easier, I removed the door and layed it on a table. I then remobved about 45 screws, removed the inner door section, removed the seal and installed new seal in reverse order being careful not to over tighten the screws. Having the door lying on the table made it much easier to place the gasket in place and make any minor adjustments. I then replaced the door and everything workes just fine.

Replace torn door gasket.
The first order of business was to find a supplier for the gasket and to make sure that the right one was ordered. This was done with out a hitch @ Part Select and at a cost less than the retail stores. The right Gasket was ordered thru Parts Select
Only difficulty was to start the install of the replacment . Need to start at the hinged corner of the door Top & Bottom for a good fit and less hassel.
Thank you Part Select for the service.

Door seal was falling apart
Replacing the door seal only involved unscrewing about 50 screws, attaching the new seal, & screwing all 50 screws back in. I'm glad I have a good electric screwdriver. The hard, if not impossible part, is trying to get the door to seal properly again. At first the door wouldn't close all the way, so after 2 hours of tinkering, it will close now, but the top left corner of the magnetic gasket will not seal no matter what.

Old seals around doors were leaking cool air.
Easy as could be. Unscrew the bolts on the inside of the seal, take off the old seal, place new seal on and screw back in. Saved myself $150 by doing it myself. So easy, my 7 year old could have done it.

Refrigerator door weatherstripping torn
Removed all screws on the door that retained weatherstripping, removed weatherstripping and inside of door. Inserted new weatherstripping, lined up inside of door and loosely re-installed screws. After minor alignment adjusting, went back and tightened all screws. Replacement part was a perfect fit.

Old door seal was torn
Removed screws & old seal replaced seal and screws.
Result: New seal will not lay flat against the door making it difficult to close the door completely and causing the compressor to work overtime. I am hoping that it eventually flattens out.

Refrigerator fresh food gasket
I merely removed the old one and replaced the old one, I luckily had a ratcheting screw driver which made things go alot quicker as there were 36 screws holding the gasket on the inside of the door, also I had to replace some of the screws that I tightened as they stripped out in the door metal, I GOT SOME OF THE SAME DIMENTION with a slightly larger thread new screws and carefully screwed them in with no problems at all. Thank you for your professional speedy service. I will surely contact you again when I need parts for my appliances even if I m not the MAYTAG repair man.

Old gasket leaking
The gasket is sandwiched between the main door and the shelf assembly.
What holds them together is 42 1/4in hex head self tapping screws that run along the edge (each one is finger tight).
I would highly recommend a power drill with a 1/4 hex socket to remove the screws. It makes things much faster. Be careful when screwing the screws back in with the power drill(you only want them finger tight). If the screws are too tight, the gasket will bulge out in places.
At first the seal may feel weak. Keep the door closed for a couple of hours and the seal should improve.
