Hinge pin on one side and lid hinge on the other
First I popped the lid up to about 70 degrees. Then removed the two hinges. Then removed and replaced the two hinge pins. The key is to then just start the two screws for the hinges, slip the pins in and then tighten the hinge screws. Total time was 5 minutes.

Dryer would'nt start / drum wouldn't turn
Unplugged Dryer; used screwdriver to push in and release two clips that hold top to front, tilted top back and removed two screws holding front to sides. Disconnected door switch and removed front . Reached in above motor to remove belt from around pulley and tensioner wheel, Pulled drum and belt out of machine. Removed approximately 10 screws around perimeter of blower housing and removed cover to access blower wheel. Removed outer lock ring from shaft and clamp from blower wheel hub, and removed blower wheel. Took out tensioner assembly. Disconnected wiring connector from motor. Removed three screws that held blower housing to bottom and removed retainer around rubber motor mount at pulley end of motor. Lifted out motor, blower housing and vent pipe as one unit. Removed 2nd outer lock ring from motor shaft. Rotated motor frame 45 degrees to free the rubber mount from the blower housing. Screwed new pulley onto new motor shaft and cleaned blower housing and vent pipe. Assembly is reverse of disassembly. Inspected and lightly greased the glides and inspected the idler wheels before reinstalling drum.
Dryer works perfectly.
Five to ten minutes also spent unscrewing and replacing timer knob and hinge pins on lid of matching washer Crosley cw22b5v.
Very simple repair.

Cover of washing machine wouldn't stay open, it fell on my wife's hand.
This is a very simple repair, I opened the top of the washer by inserting a screwdriver between the top and the washer cabinet. There are 2 clips on the front of washer, locate and push in to release top. Lift top with lid attached and remove the 2 screws holding the lid to the top of washer. Remove lid and replace hinge pin and hinge. Replace lid, close top , all done. Total time about 15 minutes or so. Now the lid will stay up and not fall on someone.

Washer lid came off hinges
PROBLEM: The washer lid has two hinge pins that are attached to the lid with Phillips screws (one per pin). The plastic pin that inserts into the hinge broke off, allowing the lid to come free. SOLUTION: First, I removed the lid from the washing machine. Second, I used a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the original hinge pins from the lid. Third, I replaced the hinge pins. Fourth, I used a flat-head screw driver to pry up the washer top to obtain easier access to the hinge screws. Fifth, I removed the original hinges with a Phillips-head screwdriver (one screw per hinge). Sixth, I attached the new hinges to the washer lid. Finally, I attached the hinges (and lid) to the washer top, then lowered the washer top.

Plastic lid hinge was broken
Changing the hinge was not difficult, but here's a hint: the top of the washer raises up if you pry it with a big screwdriver- be sure to wrap the screwdriver in a cloth so as not to scratch the appliance. Doing it this way makes it easy to access the retaining screws. You can push the wash tub to one side and reach the screws from underneath, but they're a tight fit and doing it that way is difficult. Overall a pretty easy repair and I'm only moderately handy.

My washer's lid hinges broke while it was being moved.
I obtained the parts on line and began to install these. I was surprised that the ease of my installation was great. Each part was held by one screw. I used a phillips driver and found the under screws easy to get to by pushing the inside clothes drum to the side. A total of four screws was required for the replacement. This repair was so easy that a normal non-trained person can accomplish it. Thanks Admiral.

Top cabinet was rusted on one corner due to liquids dripping from a shelf
1. Disconnected the electrical cord from the socket & the hose lines from the faucets. 2. Pulled out the washing machine from against the wall to make room for working. 3. Opened the back of the control cabinet by removing the 5 screws. 4. Disconnected the wiring ( making sure to identify all connections and color of wiring ) from the control cabinet and pulled through the opening on the cabinet top. 5. Popped the lid open from the front of the washer using a screwdriver by prying it open and removed the hinge lid from the cabinet top. 6. Removed the control cabinet from the cabinet top, disconnected the safety latch from the cabinet top. 7. Removed the water inlet guide & a vacuum hose from the cabinet top. 8. Removed the hinge brackets from the back of the washer which holds the cabinet top in place. 9. Removed the hinged lid from the cabinet top.. 10. Installed new hinges on to hinge lid .
Installed new cabinet top in reverse order as above.

One of the plastic hinge pins brroke
I used a flat screw driver to push in on the releases so I could raise the top of the machine. I then used a torx tool to remove both parts of the hinge, and then used a #2 phillips screw driver, on the new screws I'd also ordered, to re-attach both of the hinge parts. Every thing went just as anticipated.

Lid hinge broken
I'm a 69 year old female. My husband isn't very handy so I decided to order the parts and do it myself. I didn't know how to take the machine apart so I just moved the washer part so I could unscrew the screw. I dropped the screwdriver between the adj. and side of the washer. I guess you won't be telling this story. I did get the parts on and the lid is working and so is the machine. Valerie Guyot

Left hinge pin & hinge sheared
Hving read some of the tips in regards to this repair I set out with equal parts of confidence & apprehension. The advice of shifting the tub toward the hinge to be removed is in itself the key to the whole procedure. After having done so & wedging a dust pan handle between the tub & frame to first one side & then the other, I removed the entire lid with the hinge & hinge pin assys. attached as ther is not sufficient clearance to slide a servicable hinge pin from a hinge when only one hinge has beeen removed. With the lid completely removed access to the hinge pin(s) is straight forward. I suggest screwing & unscrewing the fastening screw into a new hinge assy before mounting the hinge onto the machine & also using an offset philips screwdriver or ,as I did, a 1/4" drv. ratchet with a #2 philips apex bit which allows for a better feel & more control over the upside down blind operation of removing & replacing the fastening screw into the hinge assy. Hope this helps. Tom

Broken left hinge pin on lid
1. Remove 1 screw holding each of 2 Hinges - use T15 driver. 2. Push tub to one side to get access to each screw from underside. 3. remove & replace broken Hinge Pin from Lid with T15 driver. 4. Drive broken pin out of the Hinge with a punch & hammer. 5. Install new Hinge Pin to Lid. 6. Add a little Vaseline to Hinge Pin & slide Hinge Pin into Hinge. 7. Line up Hinges to holes & re-install both Hinges with Lid. Have somebody help hold the Lid in a slight angle will make re-installation easier.

Broken lid hinge
short drive, 90 degree, "star" driver. push tub to side and back to reach lower part of old hinge, remove single screw. (careful not to drop it into the "mechanics" of the tub.) repeat for the other side. remove parts from lid. reassemble new parts onto lid, along with lower hinge parts. secure the lower hinge to door part(s) with masking tape to hold in place. hold lid in place over lower hinge screw holes and start screws by hand. snug up the screws and your done! the 'STAR" screws may be relpaced with similar "phillips" so you wont have to scrounge for a "star" driver the next time.
