Dryer would not stop running/timer would not advance

I replaced the sensor assembly (chime & dryness) in the dryer control panel. It just snapped out and the new one snapped in. That fixed the problem!

Dryer would not shut off. Timer was not advancing in both intellisense and timed modes.

I tried a new dryer timer first upon the recommendation of a local appliance place. They stated that since the dryer was not working in either timed dry or Intellisense dry modes, more thank likely, it was the timer. That did not fix the problem so I tried the sensor assembly next. Simply removed the housing by removing the three screws, snapped out the old one, snapped in the new one and everything works.

Dryer won't shut off.

My dryer won't shut off. I went online and checked the part with Part Select and ordered it. It arrived the next day. I simply unscrewed the top of the dryer the control panel and just pull out the sensor and replaced the new part. and it is working fine now. Part Selects customer service was very good, they were very helpful to me.

First replaced the Timer. Did not repair the problem. Returned item with no problem and then replaced this Sensor. Bang! less then 5 minutes later, dryer is doing its job. Thank you for the excellent service and help. Kudos.
