Short Baffle

removed door, removed screws to lift top panel, removed screws that held old baffles, replaced with new baffles, took off front panel and cleaned out excess lint while I was in there.

take 2 phillips screws out where door meets drier. remove door, set aside. take 2 phillips screws out on other side, set screws aside. remove front of drier by pulling on top left and right sides, front of drier will fall twards front of drier. when it touches the floor lift up on bottom. set aside for later. put new baffels in (you can see where the old ones went) put screws in from bottom 5/16nutdriver. tighten. put drier front back on . start at bottom , snap top back in on both sides. put two screws back on left side, put door back on and replace 2 screws ( door will not go on wrong) test and your done...

easy repair. Another person had placed a youtube video on it on how to open up the dryer to get to the baffle. Baffle purchased only came with baffle. Had to go to Ace hardware to buy screws. This travel time was 90 percent of the repair. Disappointed the package didn't come with all the parts, like screws. Screws cost me another 2.50 as had to buy 2 separate sets to see which ones were needed. Next time if you are not going to ship something that is assembled, e.g. needs screws, with screws. Let me know ahead of time.

The repair was easy, based on the comments from this website. I used a 6-in-1 screwdriver, and that was the only tool. I removed the two screws holding the hinges, removed the door, then the two screws on the opposite side of the opening. This allowed the front panel to come off. I spun the dryer tumbler until the baffle that was loose was at approximately 5 o'clock. I unscrewed the remaining screw and found the missing screw in the bottom of the dryer. I put those two screws into the new baffle, and popped the front back in place. I reinstalled the four screws (two opposite the hinge, then the two that hold the hinges)...all done in about 20 minutes (including vacuuming the lint out from that lower area).

I took out screws holding top to dryer & raised the top & proped it up to gain access to inside of the dryeeer drum. I then inatalled the new baffle & secured it with 2 screws. It would have been better if the part came with new screws.It was hard to determine which was the right screws for this application.

Repair is very simple, all I had to due was remove 4 screws on door and closing side door. Remove door and take off front panel. Then I spun baffle down to right side by motor removing 2 screws , replaced short baffle. the sensor wires are locate right there . Simple disconect of 2 spade wires , 2 srews inside and unit comes out. Please remember to disconnect power and door lifts up maybe 1/2 inch when disconnecting. The baffle worked fine the sensor fixed lights , but did not dry clothes to my satifaction. Good Luck

This was fairly easy, I have had the dryer front off before. Unplug dryer from electrical outlet. Pull dryer away from wall. Remove the dryer door, open dryer door there are 2 phillips screws on dryer door hing, remove these crews then lift gently and remove door, across from these screws, where dryer door closes into face cover of dryer remove 2 more phillips screws. From top of face cover, pull out front of face cover and lift to remove face cover of dryer. On each side of dryer on the front, after removing the front cover is a 5/16 bolt, remove these and pull off retaining bracket with a twisting motion. You now can lift the top of the dryer up. You can now see the barrel drum. Rotate barrel by hand so the broken baffle is on top. Remove two 5/16 bolts, and replace new baffle in place. Reassemble in reverse order of disassemble.

Had to remove the dryer door and back top screws to access the drum.
Once this was accomplished all that had to be done was to turn the drum by hand and replace each baffle and (two) screws each.

Save the money and buy the part with partselect. My dryer problem was obvious. Before I purchased the part I jumped on YOUtube to see if there was a repair video that matched my problem. FRIELINK5 had a very thorough video. This guy did it with one hand and overall it looked easy. Then I ordered the part. When it arrived I gathered all of the tools first. Rewatched the youtube video, then installed the part. I recommend going through parts select problem determination if you do not know what is wrong. Follow the instructions and purchase the part. I saved probably over $125. House call 50$ + Labor and part $100 from a service call. TRY IT save money.

I was able to quickly make this repair with the help of some instructions that I found on this site on how to remove the front panel of my dryer. 4 screws on the front around the door (and removal of the door) and then it was simply a matter of rolling the top portion out to pop it out of some clips and then the front panel opened toward me and I was able to lift it off of the metal fingers that secure it on the bottom. Removing the old baffle was a matter of removing two screws with a nutdriver and installation of the new baffle was a breeze. All in all I was done start to finish in under 10 minutes.

First, suggest that, if you're mechanically challenged, take pictures or write down the disassembly sequence you use.
Took off the door, removed the front sub panel, then the shroud. When I noticed the wires to the moisture sensors, etc., I remembered to unplug the unit. Once all the screws and clips are removed, used a pry bar to prop up the top of the unit. This makes it much easier to get to the baffle screws from the outside of the drum. Removed old baffles and replaced with the new ones, vacuumed out the inside of the unit, and put it back together in about an hour. It took the parts about three business days to arrive, so it was time to do laundry by then!

I actually followed the 5 tips from previous customers to fix the dryer. I removed the door then the screws on the other side and pulled the front open. Then spun the tub around to get to the screws attaching the baffle and removed and replaced with the new ones which attached the new baffle into place. It was very easy! Would have been faster but one of the screws holding the door on was too tight and almost stripped. Thankyou Part Select! Your diagrams and tips were very helpful! I will use you again!!

i removed the 2 screws holding the door hindges on. then i removed the 2 adjasent screws to remove the front door panel. i rotated the drum to aceses the screws holding the baffle and installed the baffle .

1. removed door
2. removed front plate
3. removed two screws that hold the tumble fin
4. replaced damaged tumble fin with new one

removed the front panel and lifted the top up. turned the tumbler and screwed down the new baffles from the outside. Used washers because the screw holes were bent from the old baffles.
