The plastic knob broke and wouldn't grip the steel movement
all i did was put the three pieces together (1-2-3! so easy) and attached to the metal piece of the dryer. now i can set the dryer to any temperature and time i need!

Dryer timer not working - timer dial skirt broke
I ordered a new timer skirt and also a new timer knob(only to be safe) and they arrived the next day! I watched the instruction video on your website and it showed me how to take apart the skirt knob and cover. It was so easy. I reassembled the three parts which took about 2 minutes and put it back on the silver post that holds the timer dial. It worked as good as new. My husband was proud of me. I have recommended your website to my friends.

Timer assembly would not advance
Removed old timer assembly, put the new one next to it and as I disconnected one wire from the old part, I connected it to the new part, that way I was able to connect each wire to the right place.
It was very easy.

Timer knob broke from the middle.
Researched for the part numbers and found the parts needed. In this case the timer knob is made up of 3 separate pieces that easily snap together.

Broken dryer knob
First let me just say that Partselect.com is now one my stored favorites in my web browser. I came home from a business trip and saw a pair of pliers on the dryer. I thought that was odd until my wife informed me that the knob on the dryer had broken. So she was using the pliers to select the cycle. Somehow she knew where the missing pointer was actually pointing. Since the dryer was over 5 years old I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade both appliances. Not with my frugal wife. A search of the Internet popped up partselect. I ordered Wednesday morning and the parts where on my doorstep late Thursday. Trust me I was very surprised. Everything worked perfectly. Two thumbs up!!!

Our timer dial had been broken for some time, cracked around the connection to the control panel. I had been able to epoxy glue it to where it was functional, but that eventually failed. We were using a pair of pliers to set the timer on the dryer.
I was able to easily find the replacement part on PartSelect, and the schematics showed me how to easily disassemble my dial (which has three parts) so that only the broken part needed to be replaced. I used a tiny straight-slot screwdriver to pop the pieces apart. Once we received the new piece, it was very simple to pop the pieces back together and have a fully functioning new dial!

Timer skirt/knob was broken and dryer wouldn't start
I removed the knob and timer skirt after viewing the same on the parts diagram provided by PartSelect. This was very helpful. I ordered the new part, received it in just a few days, reinstalled the parts and everything works fine.
The key was the diagram provided so I knew exactly what to order and how the parts could be taken apart and reassembled.

had to take the knob apart, it was in three pieces and attach two of the old parts to the new knob and push the assembly back on to the machine

Timer dial broke off when turned
I pried the middle knob (grey) from the old dial skirt with a butter knife. When the new dial skirt arrived I popped the old knob into the new dial skirt. There was a metal flange (?) on the timer stem and I pulled that off with small pliers and then installed the repaired knob. And WOW! - it worked

The timer dial skirt on the dryer broke again!
You just needed to pull of the knob straight towards you.
Then you separate the skirt from the knob and ring by pulling them off.
You put the knob and ring onto the new timer dial skirt. Line up the skirt and push it back onto the timer arm.
Still Part-select makes it easy to find a replacement part and gives good instruction on how to repair the problem.

Timer dial know broken
All you have to do is remove the skirt on the bottom of the turning dial, then put on the new one. Then slip it on the machine. Bobs your uncle!!! You have a working knob for your Maytag Dryer.

Dryer wouldn't heat! Thought it was dead! Oh no it was christmas!
We discovered that the dial "skirt" had cracked so the "pointer" didn't line up. Got the new skirt, pulled the old one off, had to get pliers to pull one small broken part off. Slipped the new skirt on and the dryer works like new. All for less than $5.00. Christmas was saved!

Dryer's timer nob would just turn without setting timer
Pull off the nob/ timer dial skirt . Pop off the cap. Used pliers to pinch the catches together to release the knob from the timer dial skirt.
Ordered new skirt from Part Select after confirming part from great diagrams and pictures.
Received the timer dial skirt in a few days. Snap pieces back together and replace knob onto dryer.
Super Easy.

Broken dryer knob used to select cycle.
The part was ordered and we received it the very next day. It took less than 5 minutes to replace the knob. A service call would have been $75, plus the part. Ordering the part directly and installing it myself was easy. Total cost $10.
