Temperature knobs broke off washer and dryer

First I removed the four screws on the top of the panels of each appliance. The panel covering swings/rotates forward and then allows you take them completely off. Next I located the switch and removed each push-on connector being sure to immediately attach it to the correspoinding connector on the new part. When all wires are connected re-seat the switch and re-attach the panel enclosure. Replace the screws on the top of the panels. The stems for the switches should be showing through the panel and then replace the knobs. Done!

The temperature switch was broken off during a recent move

First my huband remove two screw that held the front plate on..the plate came off very easy..he unplugged the broken part one wire at a time and plugged in the new wire from the new switch ..there were I believe 4 wires..it took at 2 minutes to replace the switch and maybe another minute to replace the front plate...the whole exchange took less than 5 minutes, very simple..the best part of the whole repair was that the part actually got here 3 days after we ordered it. I wasn't sure I had ordered the correct part but it was an exact match...
