Water leaking from left side of washer during fill cycles
Remove two screws to take off the front. Remove two bolts to loosen the top, slide it aside. Remove one hose clamp and take out injector valve and nozzle. Lube the new nozzle with soapy water, slide the valve in and re-insert into hose. I replaced the hose clamp, but it wasn't really necessary.
Bolt down the top and replace the front and screws.
I did move the machine and clean the inlet screens, just to make sure. It did improve the hot water flow.

Leaking water rear left side
This happened once before and had I remembered how to get the front door off and lift the top it would have taken me less time. I actually spent more time assessing prior to ordering parts than in repairing once the parts came.
One odd thing - it only leaked when the hot water was entering (if the settings were on cold only no leak - no idea why that should be).
Anyway, this injector and the rubber housing it slides into get old and clogged or deteriorate. I ordered all the parts and replace them - but probably only needed to replace the plastic injector nozzel and the rubber sleeve it fits into.
All good now - no more leaks (until the next time!)

Water leaking on the floor during fill, coming from back left corner of machine
The hardest part and most time consuming was opening the machine the first time due to rusty bolts. After using WD-40 to loosen the bolts it was very easy to find the leak. I ordered the parts on Sat. received them on Tues A.M. Including opening the machine again replacing the parts with the new ones and putting it back together, it took less than 30 mins. Please Note: I am a woman and except for the orginal opening when my son helped with the rusty bolts I did this myself. EASY EASY EASY!

The washer leaked on the lt side. The injector was wet.
Once the front and top of the machine were opened, I loosened the clamps on each end of the injector. I removed the rubber injector valve and the plastic injector nozzle was inside. I placed the new nozzle inside the rubber valve making sure the lip of the nozzle was locked in the rubber valve as on the one I had removed. I used a little detergent to lubricate the wider end of the rubber valve(as suggested by someone else in their description). I placed the valve into the washer in the same way the old one came out. I tightened the clamps and started the machine. No leak. I put the top and front on and have been happily washing since. This machine was given to us used by my mother-in-law. It is at least 25 years old. I assumed we would have to replace the machine, but we repaired it for less than $20., including shipping. Thanks.

Water was leaking on the left side/
Removed the front cover with two screws at the bottom face. Two steel bolts and the top raises up. Removed the old rubber part and put the new one in. NO LEAK!
I had read where several people had to do the same thing. I will always have a washer basin under it from now on though.

Water leaking from fill hose
First I removed the front cover by removing screws towards the bottom of the front. Then I removed the bolt in each of the front top corners. Now you can lift the top all the way up. Next I located the filler hose that has the injector nozzle and the rubber injector valve. Next I loosened the clamps that hold these parts in place. Next I replaced the worn parts with the new parts and reassembled everything in reverse order.

30 year old washer started to leak on left side
Noticed small pool of water on left side. Diagnosed it was injector tube. Ordered parts.
Removed front panel by removing two phillips screws and then pushed down to disengage spring clips.
Used nutdriver to remover two bolts holding top cover and then undid bleach dispenser hose.
Lifted top cover and removed clamps holding injector and fill. Replaced using 1 1/16" Stainless steel screw clamps.
THIS WAS THE FIRST REPAIR EVER ON THIS WASHER!! SIMPLY AMAZING PERFORMANCE. STILL SPINS AT HIGH RPM AND IS QUIET. Bought for my folks as a gift in 1979.
This is the reason I bought the last Maytag top loaders made in '05. Also had another one 24 years with only one repair.
Parts Select, thank you! Parts arrived in three days.

Water was flowing from the side as it would fill
remove the front and opened the top, removed the old parts and added the new plus a new clamp that I purchased from the local store. I'm a single mom, one income so doing repairs myself is very important. The parts came when promised and it cost me about $23.00 where a repair man could have charged me well over $100.00 just for the parts. First time I used this website or ordered parts, I will definitely do it in the future.
