The agitator stop working
My 13yr old son and I fixed the washer in about 5 minutes. It was very simple and easy to repair considering I had never done it before.

Broken drive belt and cracked elbow connector for water drainage
Unplugged the power chord, disconnect the water lines and the drainage hose connected to the elbow. Created and cleaned a space to work, opened the top cover and the front panel to be able access to the elbow area to replace it with a new part, placed back the top cover and front panel. Installing the new drive belt at the bottom was surprisingly easy.

Washer would not agitate.
Since my missus keeps her appliances like new, it behoves us to buy something of good quality when new. We did that. Now, after almost 20 years, the washer complained it needed new belts, which I complied. Tilted it up against the wall after pulling power cord. Removed both belts and replaced. Adjusted pump belt by loosening pump and then retightening. This is easy to get to by removing front (removing 2 philips screws). Piece of cake.

Burning smell
I viewed and followed the PartSelect Instruction Video. My only problem was reattaching the door after the hinges fell off.Everything fell into place as the video indicated. After I regrouped I was able to put the hinges back and then I was able to reattach the side panel very easily as the vedio indicated. Thanks for everything.

Wife overloaded our washer and the belt started slipping. We didn't know that was the problem untill we pulled the washer out and looked at the bottom of the machine. There we found the drive belt old, dried out and cracked with burns where the belt was slipping. The slipping belt made it appear
I turned the washer over and slipped off the old belt and then slipped on the new. The motor was spring loaded making the pepair extremely easy requiring no tools.
