All i did was remove the screw, took off broken agitator auger and replaced it with the new one and put the screw back in and was done in about 5 mintues. Super easy.
Removed laundry softener dispenser, removed bolt with socket wrench and long extension, pulled off old assembly piece, installed new assembly and replaced bolt. It took longer to order the part than to replace it!
After using my existing parts for about 6 months, and constantly having to tighten the bolt, I though that the parts might be stripped. It took one minute to unscrew the bolt that holds the two parts of the agitator together with a socket and 10" extension. After taking those parts off, it took another minute to put the pieces back and screw the new bolt back in place. Extremely easy - and much less expensive then having a repairman come out to fix it.
use the socket with a 10 inch extention remove the existing screw. place the new agitator and screw back. remove the softner container from the broken agitator and snap it to the new one. job done.
Removed old 'Agitator Auger and Post Assembly' held in place by one bolt and placed new 'Agitator Auger and Post Assembly'. SIMPLE and good price.
First I removed the bolt and removed the old agitator and post assembly then I put the new agitator and post assembly in place and tightened the bolt. It was so easy, when I called the manufacturer they wanted to send out a technician, but thanks to Parts Select I fixed the problem without spending alot of money and without the hassle.
One screw off and pulled the part off. Replaced with new and put screw back in. Fabric softener snapped in place.
Opened up washer, found vacuum hose was broken and replaced it. Removed agitator with a couple extensions and a socket wrench. Found agitator part was worn out and replaced it. The best part was how great PartSelect made it so incredibly simple and easy to find the right part. I'm now a customer for life. Kudos PartSelect.
The parts list and schematic made it easy to select the correct part that my wife and I believed was the problem. The plastic part was removed easily because it kept on popping off during the wash cycle of anything other than light low loads. The mechanism was useless. With the new piece/part inserted the machine got back to business as it should be. Plastic just wears out to quick. At least we have delayed a machine replacement.
removed 1 bolt with 1/2" socket, ratchet and extensionand pulled old part off, replaced with new part---less than 5 minutes total time
The repair was easy. I had to unscrew on bolt, place the agitator assemply on and screw the bolt back down. Simple , Sear was gonna charge 175.00 just to ship the part. I got the part for $57.00.
Remove one screw, deep inside the auger, (used a 10" extension on my power drill to bolt off and bolt on the new part. Snap its done.
