burner valve assembly failed--no oven
Shut off gas valve & disconnect flex pipe at both ends. Remove adapter at stove end of flex pipe and re-use. Unplug from wall, turn range around and prop rear up off ground a few inches. Undo both gas pipes going up from burner valve assembly. Remove screws--one on tab toward front; green ground screw and one above it on right; two on lef

t side; one on panel covering wires going up from burner valve assembly. Undo both electrical plugs. Remove 2 screws at rear of bottom oven pan & take it out. Remove two screws at rear end of burner pipe and 1 at front end. Pull rear end of pipe gently away from burner valve assembly--this end just slips over brass nozzle w/small hole that points up at an angle. Take out burner valve assembly. Reverse to re-assemble. Magnetized screw-or nut driver makes job quick and easy. Be careful when replacing burner pipe that it fits over nozzle on burner valve assembly before tightening screws that hold pipe down. Use yellow tape to seal threads only at end of adapter that screws into burner valve assembly.

Is this a replacement regulator for a propane version of the above model?
For model number KGRS205TSS
Hi Gary,
Thank you for your question. Generally, all original parts are made in natural gas. So this regulator would be set for natural gas. You would have to change it over to LP while installing the part. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

For model number AGR5735QDW
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question. The purpose of the safety valve is to make sure that no gas is released until the igniter gets enough power to ignite the gas range. The purpose of the regulator is that it automatically cuts off the flow of gas at a certain pressure. If the oven will not light and the igniter will not glow for the oven, then the issue may be with the spark module. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
