Pretty easy repair/ to much money
The part showed up in great condition and was easy enough to replace it with no instructions (just look at the new piece and you can tell where the screws are to remove)
The only issue I have is the cost : $472.00 for a piece of glass is a little greedy I don’t care what anyone says!!!

Repair
Part fit accurately. Didn’t appreciate paying $25 to receive part quicker only to receive it 5-days later....that’s a lot of money to request from customers and not fulfill your promise.

No problem
I pulled the stove out and unplugged it. I looked at the new glass top and was easy to see which screws to take out. I made a mistake and pulled the knobs off and took the screws behind the knobs off, leave the knobs alone you don’t need to touch them.. on EACH SIDE of stove towards the front there is a long channel held on with a scre

Mother-in-law dropped a pan on the ceramic glass top
Turn off the circuit breaker to the oven and put tape over the switch of the circuit breaker so your mother-in-law won't accidently turn it on. Removed the bottom false tray and disconnected the down draft flex hose. Pulled the oven out from the center island. Removed all of the top phillip screws, marked a zip lock bag for each differe

nt type of screws. Laid a telephone book and a towell on the top shelf of the oven. Removed the broken glass and carefully laid the new glass in place and reconnected the screws and put the oven back in place and reconnected the flex hose for the down draft. Make notes in disconnecting and reconnecting the front knobs and face plate to the stove (let the wires hang with the front plate) along with some side plates.

I cracked the glass sotvetop by kneeling on it, Whoops.
Had to figure out all the screws and disassembly required to take off the broken part. It wasn't hard, just took some patience.

Hello Bert, thank you for your question. Unfortunately yes, black is the only color that is available for this cooktop. The manufacturer has discontinued all the other colors for this unit.

The burners on our cooktop take a long time to heat up . The cooktop is cracked. If we replaced the cooktop would that fix the issue of the burners being slow to heat up?
Hello Della, Thank you for your inquiry. That could be the cause of the problem, but I would check the burners and infinite switches as well. You can test the parts with a multimeter to see if they are working properly. Hope this helps!
