Ice maker stopped working; would not fill
It was as easy as the instructions were clear (and they were). Remove 2 screws and two nuts, pop out the old ice maker, pop in the new, plug in and tighten screws/bolts. It worked. I'm happy.

Ice maker wouldn't work.
Removed old ice maker and control valve. Control valve is in the back of the refrigerator in the bottom corner. Unplug the refridge, turn off water supply valve, remove mounting screw and unplug the control valve from the wiring harness connection. Using a flat screw driver, remove the four water lines (this is the most difficult part). Go inside the freezer and remove the ice maker by loosening the two top screws and removing the bottom screw. Unplug the electrical connection by pulling straight out or use a flat screw driver to pry off. Installation of the new parts is the reverse of the removal. The new ice maker has a pig tail that is necessary to use. This pig tail is longer than the original but will loop up behind the unit and back down to the female plug. Full ice bucket in 48 hours.

Water leaking and freezing everywhere. Weird shaped ice cubes, more like chunks which jambed the dispenser.
First removed the two screws that holds the old ice maker in place. Unplugged it. The freezer compartment was too narrow to allow the unit to slide out or turn in any other direction. Had to also remove the two front screws from the left side ice bin track and swing it down. The door opening was also too tight. Scratched the plastic door jamb putting the new unit in but other than that all is well and functioning well.

Icemaker stopped cycling and wouldn't make ice
I removed the lower screw (not needed for the new icemaker), loosened the 2 top screws, unplugged the wire harness and removed the old icemaker. Unpacked the new icemaker assembly from the box, wiped the ice cube depressions to remove any debris, snapped on the water tube adapter, hung the new assembly on the 2 loosened upper screws and tightened the screws. The wire harness required the supplied pigtail plug which made the wire assembly long and awkward to replace the ice bucket/dispenser assembly, plugged it in and was done. It took a total of about 10 minutes for the entire operation and had a full bin of ice cubes within 36 hours and was ready for the ice dispenser/crusher in the freezer door. Easy install!

Faulty ice maker
ordered the replacement ice maker. what I received was not an exact fit appication. I had to alter the screw holes for the mounting brackets. I had to use an extension cable (provided) to connect the the fridge. The point where the two cables were connected resulted in a cable that was not only unflexible but too long and I had to alter the ice maker unit to make the cable fit. I am still not completely happy due to the ice maker inconsistancey. Sometimes we have ice sometimes not. In fact, I had to take the whole unit out again today because tow cubes became lodged in the tray and would not allow the tray to fill which resulted in no ice for quite sometime. So, right now I am not too thrilled with the replacement part I received.

Ice cubes maker worked intermittently
turn off water. turn off electricity. empty freezer section of frozen food. remove ice bucket. loosen two screws holding IM to wall of refrigerator. lift off icemaker, and then unplug it as you remove it. INSTALL new IM by: putting new water funnel onto new IM. attaching adapter cord to IM. plug in IM electrical cord to refrigerator and then hang the new IM onto the two loosened screws on the refrig wall. Now tighten the two screws. the extra adapter electrical cord hangs below the new IM, but does not get in the way when you reinstall old ice bucket. reload food, turn on elec and water. PS. i had a crack in the casing of the new IM, so i got a new one, but that one was cracked too. so i just installed the second cracked one. hope it is not a problem.

Ice maker arm disconnected from frame causing problems.
The icemaker arm disconnected from the metal frame. This caused the icemaker to cycle and the heater to come on and stay on until the plastic parts melted causing a mess and stink. This action melted the ice and then the water fell through the frozen items in the freezer and refreezed in the lower portion. OK, I remover the dead icemaker and tossed it away. I installed the new icemaker and the wiring harness didn't fit right (way to long). I retrieved the old icemaker and removed the wiring harness from it. I removerd the new ice maker and installed the old wiring harness to the new icemaker. I then installed the new icemaker, plugged it in and turned on the power. No water, I ordered the dual solenoid water valve, installed it with difficulty (another story) the turned on the power. I reinstalled the ice bin and found it didn't fit. The icemaker was to low and couldn't be adjusted, 1/4" higher would have been great. I shoved in the bin anyway, I was out of ice for my scotch, and it started making ice.
