The upper oven when you select bake is having the broiler element coming on, the lower oven still works properly. Do I need a new control board? if so which one is for my oven, you have two listed?
For model number PLB30T9FCA
Hi William,
Thank you for your question. When you select the bake option and the oven preheats, it is normal for the broil element to turn on. This helps heat the oven to the desired temperature. It may continue to cycle on and off during the bake cycle to provide additional heat. If the bake element is not coming on when you select the bake option and it is just the broil element turning on, then you should check the temperature sensor, the electronic control board and the wiring between the parts to see which one is causing the issue. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

When the oven is hot (for example, when baking at 425° or using both, but usually not at lower temperatures), the entire oven will beep and shut off and the display goes blank. After some various time between between 20 seconds and 3-4 minutes, it will start back up, allow the clock to be set, and will function properly … at least until it happens again. The fan at the top is running, and the air in the (clean) top vents is 115-120°. Is this a matter of replacing a control board? The circuit powering the oven has been checked, and is not tripping.

Hi Paul, thank you for contacting us. If the airflow is restricted or blocked in some way, your oven can overheat, which will cause it to shut off. Take a good look at your electric oven and make sure it has adequate ventilation. If this does not help, we would recommend checking the following parts: the temperature sensor, part number PS820208, the relay board, part number PS1991655, the heating element, part number PS3506413, and the bake element, part number PS3655318. If the problem persists, you may need to check the control board, part number PS2368446. We hope this information is useful!
The top oven of my Frigidare Double Oven (FPET3085KFB) is not heating up properly. It is really slow to preheat and does not hold the heat according to the control board. It will say it has reached 350 degrees but if I try raise it to 375 it will say the oven has only reached 290. The bottom oven is working fine so I swapped the temperature probes and the top oven is still acting up and the bottom works fine. Do I need a new control board or do I have a bad element?

Hello Dan, thank you for the question. Based on the description you have provided, the issue is most probably with the heating element. We would recommend checking the bake element, part number PS3655318, to fix the issue. We hope this helps!
