Lint filter cracked
I took the old lint filter out. Placed it in the trash. Inserted the new lint filter in the slot in the front of the dryer, making sure to line up the edges. Slid it down into position. Shut the door.

Top of the lint filter broke off, tearing our clothes.

Damaged lint filter
It wasn't really a repair at all. However, our original lint filter had gotten a hole in it. We tried going to the store we bought the dryer at, but the part was going to be more expensive and time consuming to get. That's when we decided to try to find it online.
