Plastic piece that holds clip to grille broke rendering grille totally useless.
This is not a difficult thing to repair, once you get your hands on the part. That was the most difficult thing. I had tried to use a big brand name dept. store's parts department who sent me a grille that did not match my appliance. Upon contacting them, they told me that the part I needed was no longer made and that the part they sent me was the best that could be done. Not happy with that response I returned it and, luckily happened upon PartSelect. Not only did they have the exact match to my refrigerator in stock but I received it in less than twenty-four hours. I will always use PartSelect in the future when I find myself in need!

Simply replacing the kick plate grill with clips attached
The Grill arrived with the simple clips unattached; they most certainly could have been attached . Why in h..... they were not, I cannot, for the life of me, imagine. Even if there were two sources for the components, the Grill and the Clips, they could easily have been assembled together at some warehouse, before shipment. That would have obviated my extreme frustration, with quite possible injury and ultimate failure, in putting them together. A truly simple exercise was ruined by thoughtless planning. Furthermore, the Grill arrived a weak late-until I enquired- simply because I had forgotten to include my apartment number in the address that I gave, bearing in mind that it is in one of four apposed buildings, in one of which there is an Office for Maintenance and enquiries. Incredible is it not !

1- ice maker stopped working, 2- kick plate grille clips broke off second year of use, 3- bottom cam broke first year of use
First I removed the three screws that held the element in place. I had a problem disconnecting the plug from the ice maker, but using a small screw driver and pushing in the slot to release the plug finally worked. It took about ten minutes to get the plug out of the old ice maker.
One manufacturer error was, not making the electrical wires a little longer to access the ice maker plug better.
This is the second ice maker I have installed in the freezer since 2004 and it is rather easy once the plug was removed.
I then plugged in the new unit, reinstalled the three screws, pulled off the cover and arm from the old unit, and put them onto the new installed unit, and it was ready to work.
The kick plate grille took five minutes to install.
The door closure cam kit was installed in fifteen minutes.
Everything went in really easy, except for the plug disconnection from the old ice maker.
Great do it yourself job done!
