Discharge housing backing plate broke off
From the inside I removed all of the accesories down to the impeller . I replaced the impeller as a precaution measure just incase any wear from the backing plate of the dischareg housing coming undone. and reassembled the unit. It is very easy if you have a repair manuel. I received my parts the next day. Great company

Trying to get to all the filters to clean. Can’t seem to remove the impeller screw. It will only unscrew to a certain point

Hello Saby, Thank you for the question. You will hold the impeller in one hand and unscrew the screw with the other and it shoudl come out. Hope this helps!

My maytag washing machine started making a loud grinding noise while washing ...trying to work out what might me the problem...adjtator comes up while washing then I have to push it back down..wonder if this might have anything to do with the noise...

Hi Sherrie, thank you for the question. If upper agitator is coming off we would recommend tightening the bolt to fix the issue. If the lower agitator comes of you will need to replace the whole agitator auger and base assembly, part number PS2019803, if it is faulty or worn out, it may produce a grinding noise. Dishwasher spinning arms don't spin-water comes out(i cleaned them), just doesn't spin. Could not remove impeller nut screw. Going to try using a drill. Any suggestions? Washer does fill and drain-just doesn't spin. thank you.

Thank you for your question. It is likely you have a blockage somewhere that is preventing the water from getting into your manifold, which then pushes the water into your arms to activate the spinning. You may want to check your filter and all of the parts leading up to your spray arm. Good luck with your repair.
