The hardest part was figuring out how the front plate comes off. The tray will come forward when pried with a screwdriver. Then the top will come off but you will have to leave on due to attached wires. After that it was a piece of cake. Unscrew screws (6), remove small plates holding arm in place, remove arm, replace with new actuator, and close things up. As far as the valve, just take your time and, if needed, cut off pointed ends of tubings and push into new valve. Unplug color coded plugs and plug into new valve. Reattach valve to fridge and your done. We started everything up before attaching backing to make sure there were no leaks.
The actuator was easy . . . just remove 6 screws (3 outside and 3 inside) and pull out assembly. The actuator popped out and I replaced it.The water filter replacement was easy once I figured out how to use the quick connect fittings from the tube to the water filter assembly (see Youtube).
I ordered the part that i needed to fix the broken one online through part select .com. The part arrived very quickly and i repaired the lever the same day. I was very impressed with your company and I will recommend you to anyone I know who needs appliance parts.
took off bottom plate to water/ice dispensor, removed three screws, took off front plate, removed three screws, unpluged water connector, removed two screws holding down water actuator where it pevits from and then replaced with new to find out the new part was off white vs white, does not look to good.....
simple. removed the three screws on the front of the freezer door as shown on the parts list online, removed and replaced the part by removing two additional screws. The bin was just slipped in.
I (45 year old female) repaired this very easily. Pulled off the tray that catches water/ice overflow, unscrewed 3 screws, removed the ice/water panel from the freezer door, then removed 6 more screws, peeked to see how the original was installed slipped the new part into place and replaced all the screws, panel, etc. and done in less than a 1/2 hour (including cleaning parts not usually exposed for cleaning). Works like a charm!
first I drilled out two rusty screws. removed panel from door, disconnected water hose, installed actuator-water. fought to get water hose back in.replaced drilled out screws.
