Bowl will not lift

Had to use a center punch to knock out tension rod, once the rod got knocked out the job is easy from here. Pull the handle out, slip the plastic sleeve over the lift arm. Attach to the bowl holder arm. Before you put the tension pin back in, make sure the bowl moves up and the arm has the right swing. I put the arm in backwards and the arm swung into the bowl. I wanted to kill myself because I had already put the tension pin back in. Fortunately I was able to knock the pin out in a few seconds and the job was done.

The mixer bowl would not go down.

First of all I found the part in no time flat and ordered it early afternoon and it was at my door within 24 hours! My son was off work one day and I asked him if he needed a job to do and he said "sure". So I showed him the new part and where it goes and in less then 10 min it was working. awesome!

Bowl won't lift

A part required to operate the bowl lift had failed, "broken in half". I removed the base, by removing 4 large philips head screws, then removed the pedestal which housed the broken part by removing 4 more large philips head screws. I used a hammer and punch to drive out the split pin, a pair of pliers to remove the cotter pin and replaced the broken part.

The plastic piece inside the mixer that raises and lowers the arm

Took the mixer apart so that the broken pieces of plastic would fall out. I needed a large philips srew driver -wasn't able to improvise. A friend (male) came over so between the 2 of us we took the machine apart and put it back together. The motor works fine, It was just the arm lever and everything is working perfectly now.
