This dispenser drip tray continues to be a problem for replacement. Why can't this part be metal !!! This part was originally a stainless steel part, but GE continues to go cheap and now uses plastic. Which over time deteriorates turns green after the finish comes off, and there isn't a good option to clean or maintain or even repair the surface. Very very poor quality, I certainly would not re-order this part or purchase another GE product!

The old recessed dispenser grill under the water dispenser looked green and ugly.
I approached the GE Profile refrigerator with both doors closed. With my left hand, I took ahold of the old splash tray underneath the ice/water dispenser and slowly lifted it out and removed it. With my right hand, I grasped the new tray and inserted in the space once occupied by the old tray. I then discarded the old tray.

I need a dispenser drip tray because the one that came with the refrigerator is corroded. What is this tray made of and will it corrode too? Does the tray come in other colors? What are my options for the replacement part?
