Unit would not turn on
Changed the main chip. the unit then started and continuously ran. Thought something was wrong with it. It is just a cycle of the dishwasher and when the pump quit running the dishwasher ran and operates. Saved me lots of money and time.

Dishwasher Wouldn't Start
The original problem was that the dishwasher wouldn't start or respond to any button presses. The Clean light stayed on consistently, but nothing else would happen.

I replaced the main board and control board, which really just involved taking apart the door, unplugging three wires, replacing the boards, then plugging the three wires back in.

After I did that and plugged everything back in, the Clean light flashed, and the dishwasher started beeping. It wouldn't respond to any controls, aside from the fact that pressing the Start button stopped the beeping.

Symptoms:
- Just replaced Control Board
- Clean light blinks
- Start button stopped beeps
- No other buttons did anything

Resolution: re-read the instructions that came with the board.

There's a step that says "Transfer model selector plug to the new control board". If you look on your old main board, right by the power connection is a plug that you're supposed to remove from the old board and put on the new board.

I had originally skimmed through the instructions thinking "this looks super easy", so I didn't look at it in detail until I had a problem.

Dishwasher works perfectly now.

Would not cycle from "wash", just kept running
As per instructions, any one that can read and use basic hand tools could do it. Very nice color instructions. BTW, this was an excellent value, $20 cheaper than two of the other parts houses I checked. Super fast shipping

No Power to the controls
I do a lot of home repairs but I never worked on an appliance before. I simply removed the six phillips screws holding the inside cover on and then no tools. I poped open the cover over the mother board that was burned due to a power spike, unplugged it and plugged up the new one and poped it all back together. In hind sight I should have disconnected the power underneath.

Dishwasher will only drain upon unusual combinations of pressed control keys. The drain pump is fine and there are no obstructions. New circuit board needed?
