no heat on the left grill/burner
turned off main ckt breaker, then removed the two leads to the burner unit at the Infinite Switch; set meter to ohms and read 20 ohms. then checked the right hand burner leads, got same reading of 20 ohms. I decided then that the infinite switch was faulty. I then made sure all wiring was in the clear and turned the ckt. breaker back on and CAREFULLY read the voltage at the Infinite-Switch terminals to the burner. No voltage (0). Ordered the part and the grill now works fine. A few words about the assembly/dissasembly: The phillips screws holding the top cover were a bit rusty, as this grill is on our pool deck. When I replaced them i put a bit of high-temp silicone grease in the threads. this grease is used for auto brake service so the grill heat should not affect it. the only difficulty I had on re-assembly was lining up the top cover with the bottom pan to insert the screws.

Hello. I have a jenn air lanai grill. The fan comes on, the right side heats up, the left side burner does not heat up. Is replacing the heating element on the left the typical fix for this kind of issue or is there more i need to do? Thank you
