Better than the original
I purchased this part on a Monday and selected the cheapest shipping and the part was delivered on Saturday. The part is better than the original part on my mower and works great. Partselect.com provided great service and a great part. I will do business with them again.

How do I know that this part is bad? What are the sympyoms?
For model number 247.273430
Hi Randall,
Thank you for your question. If your lawn mower gets hot and then shuts off, this is a sign that the ignition coil may be failing. To verify if the ignition coil is the problem you will need to test it with a multimeter. You should receive a reading of 2.5 to 5 K ohms. If you get a reading different from this, you will need a replacement ignition coil. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

Mower lacks power. Starts and runs ok with a little backfiring, but not enough power to mow or pull anything. Sounds like it is idling low, but carb throttle is wide open. Fresh ethanol free fuel. Spark plug , air filter, fuel line and fuel filter, carb all replaced. Could the ignition coil be the issue? Not much else to try.

Hi James, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, if the engine is starting, the ignition system is working fine. The issue might be with the piston assembly, part number PS9306756. After combustion, the piston is pushed down in the cylinder, which rotates the crankshaft. The power from the crankshaft drives both the blade and the mower’s drive wheels. If your lawnmower engine seems to be lacking power, you might have a problem with the piston assembly. We hope this helps!
