This part fixes the following symptoms:
I found the upper spray arm in the top basket one day, and saw that the inner retainer had broken. I looked up the part on your website - really user friendly btw - and placed the order around 11:30 AM. At 9:30AM the next morning, FEDEX was knocking on my door. At 9:35AM the part was installed - no tools needed - and we were ready to wash dishes again. It doesn't get any better than that !!!!!

Replaced entire Upper Spray Arm with one-piece assembly. Very easy, no tools. Very good price.
I ordered the part. It came within days, I screwed the old fault arm off by hand and put the new one on. It took five minutes or less. It was very easy, and comments of others who had ordered the part made the problem makes sense.
The Upper Spray Arm is all one piece....so that was nice. You dont have to order all three pieces, like it shows in the diagram. Very easy to order and install parts.
We noticed after only a year that the top spray arm would keep falling off during a cleaning cycle. We'd find it in the top rack of the dishwasher. When we needed to have the motor replaced after only 14 months, the repairman told us this arm falling off is a big problem. He repaired it the best way he could. Recently when it came off there was no way to fix it ourselves and we had to order another part. It's very easy to install as it just screws on the way a hose screws on to a spigot.
First they very promptly sent the wrong part followed promptly by the correct one.The male threads stick down into the top of the dishwasher. When I tried to spin the new upper spray arm onto the threads the male threads kept turning. I used the putty knife to push against and hold the male threads from turning - a butter knife or anything would work as well. Once I got it mostly threaded I pulled the knife out and finished tightening. The other descriptions on line were helpful.
I took the upper rack out and sent it aside and then on the top I just screwed the new one on by my hand and tighten the upper spray arm until it was snugged.
unscrewed old one and screwed in the new .
The repair only took a few minutes. The hardest part was, after removing the part that was still attached, reaching and getting the threads to mesh so it could be screwed on. Maybe because the unit was full, my access was limited, so the extra 15 minutes were operator error.
The new part replaced three pieces that had disassembled. I simply unscrewed the remaining piece and screwed in the new assembly which fit and worked perfectly. It took less than 10 minutes to repair. During the order process this company asked enough questions to insure that the correct part for that machine was ordered. I will order again, no doubt, when needed. The part arrived on time and as described...............Thanks Whit Smith
So simple a caveman could do it....
Big Spoons too high in washer bottom broke off wand. You can simply refit the same part back together if you try. I thought I needed a new one but I didn't. Very ingenious. I will save the one I ordered just in case
Very simple...just unscrew the spray arm and screw on the new one. I had put the old spray arm back together several times, but each wash it would come apart. Quick, simple solution!
The upper spray arm assembly came apart during use of the dishwasher. When the new one came I simply unscrewed the old one, by hand, and replaced it with the new one. It works now as it should. Total time to fix.... 2 minutes. If only everthing was this simple. Cudos to the engineers who designed this fixable problem with such ease.
I removed the existing spray arm ring with my fingers (looking at the new part, I could see that it simply screwed into the tub)and screwed the new part in finger-tight. That was all it took!
