Where is the water level adjustment on this ice maker? Part number: Ps11769408 :Whirlpool w10898228
For model number Whirlpool WRF993FIFM00
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your question. The water level adjustment screw is behind the front cover. Remove the screws for the front cover. Once the front cover is removed you should see a screw with +/-. There should also be arrows showing as well. To increase the amount of water, turn this adjusting screw counterclockwise. To decrease the amount of water, turn this adjusting screw clockwise. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My ice maker appears to be leaking into the ice bin causing the cubes to freeze together. Will replacing the ice maker assembly fix this issue? Or is there a valve/solenoid for water flow that could be the issue? Are these two different parts?
Thank you
For model number KRFC604FSS00
Hello Brian, Thank you for the question. We suggest watching the Ice Maker as it is filling. If it over flows, you may have a defective Valve. If the Ice Maker is not over filling, you may have a crack in the Ice Maker causing a leak and the Ice Maker will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!
When ice maker first installed will it start or does it have to get cold first
For model number WRF992FIFM00
Hello Barry, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, the icemaker will not start immediately after being plugged in. The ice mold body temperature must reach approximately 15 degrees Fahrenheit before a cycle is initiated. This may take up to 24 hours to happen. We hope this information helps!
