I need to remove the left top refrigerator door. How do you disconnect the drinking water line connector?

Hello Josh, thank you for your question. To remove the water line for the dispenser the top hinge cap will have to be removed that covers the right and left side hinge assemblies. There will be a connector that holds two ends of the water tube. The connector is a quick connect type of coupler so you just need to depress the end and slide the tube out. I hope this helps!

Evaporation drain line appears to be jammed/blocked. I thought it was frozen. I have defrosted the line but it still remain clogged. I was able to get a wire/cable down the tube at least 16 inches. I was also able to get a wire/cable up from the evaporation pan up about 16 inches as well. There is blockage. Not sure what it is. I was looking for a diagram of the tube and trying to figure out how i could actually get to it. Any suggestions?

Hi Matt, you may be able to get to it through the back of the fridge, you could try unscrewing the bottom plate and accessing the drain line through there and diagnose the issue further. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

Follow up to my question yesterday. I have a blockage in the evaporator drain. I have tried to snake the drain line from inside the refrigerator and i have also snaked the line from the back of the refrigerator by the evaporator pan. I was able to go about 16 inches from both locations but ran into a blockage. I suspect it is still ice - any other reasons? It would be helpful to see a diagram of the actual drain tube - does it have a goose neck in the line? Do you have any other ideas to help me clear the blockage? Thanks

Hi Matt, thank you for your question. The only diagram that we have is the one listed on our site underneath your model number information. If you uninstall the part you can use a hair dryer to melt the ice blockage on the inside that way. When you are having temperature problems in your fridge, there are a few parts that could cause the ice build up issue. You can use a multi meter to test most of the parts. Make sure you cut power to your appliance before doing any repairs or tests. First you should test your defrost thermostat. Place the thermostat in ice cold water for 2-3 minutes after removing it from your appliance. It should be reading 0 ohms to be working correctly. Another part to check would be your defrost heater. Remove it from the appliance. It should be reading anywhere between 0 - 50 ohms to be working. You could check your temperature sensor. To find the correct reading for this part you will have to refer to your tech sheet that comes with your appliance. You can usually find this tech sheet behind the bottom grille of your fridge on either the right or left side. These are the most common parts that cause this issue in your appliance. So it is suggested you check them first. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
