Drum Support Roller

PartSelect Number PS11752609

This is a drum support roller for a dryer. The part includes the drum roller only and does not include the tri rings. Although most dryers require two drum support rollers, this part is sold separately. It is recommended to check and replace both drum support rollers at the same time to ensure proper drum rotation and because they often wear at the same rate. The drum support roller holds the drum in the proper position while it spins on the support wheels. If rollers are worn out, they will cause the dryer to be noisy. This is a genuine replacement part.

This part works with the following brands: Whirlpool, Admiral, Estate, Inglis, KENMORE®, KitchenAid, Roper, Maytag, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Hardwick, Magic Chef, Amana, Caloric & Glenwood.

This part fixes the following symptoms:

  • Noisy.

Noisy drum

the job would have gone faster if the right parts had been sent in the first place. I would have never paid for two day shipping. In the repair, I removed the rear panel, clipped the plastic triangle holding the bearing, installed the new bearing and new clip.

Clothes getting torn

Removed the drum from the machine. This involved taking the dryer almost completely apart. However, it wasn't that difficult. The hardest thing was remembering where everything went to put it back together. So far so good. Replaced the read drum seal as this was the most likely cause of the problem. The rollers were replaced too since that was a possible cause and the machine would be apart anyway.

Noisy

Used putty knife to release catches on dryer top. Removed two screws in Lint Filter cover. Used Nut driver to remove the screws holding the front on. Removed the drum and had easy access to all the parts I was having trouble with. I believe the real problem was the Idler pulley but since I was already there I replaced the drum rollers also. While drum was out I vacuumed the inside of the cabinet. After parts were replaced i put everything back together in reverse order. Very Easy
