This part fixes the following symptoms:
Super easy to fix. Drank my morning coffee and replaced the part while watching Good Morning America. I had watched the "how to" video at this web site before. Much cheaper than hiring someone to fix. Still grates that the design makes you buy $50 part to replace a 50 cent wheel. Oh well. by the way, I am a health professional female that has trouble loading the paper in a fax machine.

Four screws were removed and new parts were installed. The only problem was that two types of rack adjusters exist. If your dishwasher does not have a lever, part number PS2100470, then the new rack adjuster either left or right side will not work without part numbers PS2100470(lever) and PS2100308(cover). Be sure to order parts for both sides since the original plastic wheel supports have been replaced with steel.
It was so easy to install this part. I did have to buy a star screwdriver because I only had a flathead and a Phillips head, but I just took the part to the hardware store to make sure I bought the right driver. Once I had the right tool, installation tool less than 10 minutes. It was just a matter of removing the old part and putting on the new part -- 6 screws and your done. Very happy with this part.
Since I didn't have a star screw driver and my handyman was there making other repairs, had him install. I could have taken the part to Home Depot so they could sell me the right screw driver, but this worked out fine.
I ordered the part which came very quickly. I undid the stops on the slide bar and removed the upper rack, used the star bit screwdriver to remove the 5 screws and replaced it quickly. very easy
I removed screws from rack adjuster, installed new adjuster, and replaced screws (required torx driver).
Read some of the other stories first. It was very easy to take the top rack off. Once the rack was off, I simply removed some screws, removed the adjuster and replaced with the new one. Overall a very easy fix. I'd most definitely use this site again for both parts ordering and replacement advice.
Removed old part with screw driver and replaced with new. New parts were metal axle. Ordered on line.Phoned to confirm a question. Parts arrived Tuesday
repair was fairly simple, I removed 6-8 screws and replaced the adjuster assembly.
I simply unscrewed the broken rack adjuster assembly from the rack and installed the new rack adjuster.Pay attention to the position of the thumb lever when you remove the old adjuster for ease of re-assembly.That's it.
The repair is very simple: using a torx/star driver, I removed the 5 screws holding the original rack adjuster in place. Taking the 2 plastic pieces apart, I removed the old adjuster with the broken wheel and inserted the new adjuster wrapping them back around the rack side as before. NOTE: Once apart, I had no issues with the adjuster tab popping out, but others might. Just know that it's pretty self evident where and how it goes back in. (It pops back in very easily). I used the original screws and tightened things up once again, inserting the rack back into the dishwasher track and replacing the stop tabs at the ends of the slider bars. Took all of about 10 or 15 minutes - and only that long because I chose to wash and clean the insides of the rack adjusters to remove some (what I guess was) food pieces that were lodged in there.
Pulled dish rack. Removed old rack holder and replaced with new one,and put dish rack back in dishwasher. Then the only thing to do is adjust height of the dish tray.
I removed screws from the old part, took it out and replaced it with the new part. Simple! I was frustrated because I couldn't find the part I needed and all the businesses I called told me I would need to replace the whole top rack, which I thought was silly since the only thing that broke was the plastic support/wheel. I figured out what part I needed by reading repair stories from other PartSelect customers...looked at the diagrams, ordered the part, replaced it, and voilia! all is well!
Removed Upper rack from the dishwasher.Removed five screws from the rack assembly, removed the entire rack adjuster assembly and replace with new rack adjuster assembly. Replaced same screws in place.Placed upper rack back into dishwasher.
Part came in record time.Repair was intuitive, just a few screws (Torx style). New part fit perfectly. Up and running in less than 1/2 hour.
