Looked part up on this site, ordered at 11:00am, received it next afternoon.Turned electric off, removed the screws on the door with a Torx screwdriver, unplugged the old assembly and installed the new one, put the screws back in and turned on the power.I then ran a rinse to make sure everything worked.Very simple fix. Thanks for a very helpful website.
This is the 4th time the latch broke on our dishwasher. We paid someone the first time, my husband fixed it the other two times, he is out of state so I had to do it this time. I took the screws out of the door and looked inside and saw it would probably be easy. Then when I got the part and put it in, it was beyond easy. The hardest part was to take the plugs off of each side, they were a little stuck and then putting them on the new handle was easy. The door had a place where the part rested and then you put the door back together. Those screws hold in place and it was done. Run down-screws out, plugs off old, plugs on new, set in place, door together, screws in, done. Works beautifully.
Removed the power scource then the torx screws around the inside door liner. Then removed the two wires from each of the two switches on the latch assy. Connected the wires to the new latch assembly and put in place. The screws around the inner door lining hold the unit in place. Easy! Easy!
I followed the instructions and illustrations which were on your web site. They were excellent and it made the job easy. Thanks-Tom
East repair. Take screws out of door, pull out handle assemly, unplug (one connector broke, so glad I got entire assemly),plug in new one, put screwsback in, done.
It is difficult to remove the electrical connection from the old unit. The replacement was otherwise simple.
took all the screws of the inside panel out and the door handle switch came with it, so simple. the new handle is a better design and I got the parts in 4 days it was great service
Replacing the latch was easy. Removed the (11) torx head screws from inside of door pannel to get to the latch. Unplug the two wire connectors from the switches on the latch assembly, replace latch assembly with the new one. Plug in the wires to assembly and put it in place, replace the screws in the panel and the repair is complete. The repair was as easy as ordering the part. Two thumbs up for Part Select!!!
I used the video and the repair was a snap. Just unplug the dishwasher, take our the screws, engage the new latch, unplug the old latch and install the new one. The video was great.
removed 10 bolts with allen wrench, loosened 2 wires, replaced assembly
take the inside panel off unplug and replace
The repair was very easy. The only problem was the old switches on the old unit could not be removed so I had to use the old switches on the new handle.
After turning off the circuit breaker, we opened the door and removed the door panel screws. From there it was very simple to swap the new part for the old one. It was not necessary to remove the dishwasher from under the counter or get under the kick panel or the sink. The PartSelect how-to video on the repair was very helpful.
Following the video instructions was very easy. I had to run out to buy a special star shaped screw driver (x20) in order to remove screws on the door. Quick repair.
