When the flap that opens and closes to allow cool air to enter and stop entering the main part of the refrigerater it makes a growling sound that flap is located underneath a vent that is located in the top middle of the main part of the refrigerater

Thank you for your question. If your air damper is making a noise when the flapper closes, the gears in the damper motor may be worn and failing and the damper may have to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

If the air damper gears are worn and are growling what parts are required to fix it ( show part numbers please)

Hi Claude, Thank you for the question.Parts to the damper are not sold separate from the damper its self, so the damper will need to be replaced, PartSelect Number PS11748675. Hope this helps!
