Stripped agitator dogs

Replaced them with the agitator cam kit. It was easy. Hard to get the upper agitator half off of the lower but that was what the husband is for LOL. With his muscle and your "how to videos", it was a snap. If something else breaks this is the first place Im going to to see if I can repair it. This repair cost a whopping $24 and I actually could have gotten away a lot cheaper but bought an extra washer and bolt which I probably didnt need but replaced anyway. I thought we were going to have to get a new washing machine. No way. Machine is working as good as ever. Thank you, thank you XXXOOO

Agitator "knobs, gator teeth things " did not engage

Step one . two , I was surprised that it went so well. You still have to be careful when seating the new agitator assbly. At first I thought I had the wrong kit..but you have to line up into slots in the Auger.. Trust me it works

Upper half of agitator did not rotate.

There was a video on the web providing instruction. The longest part of this repair was cleaning the old agitator of soap and fabric softener scum. Once that part complete, installation went smoothly. Didn't realize that the thrust spacer and o-ring for the internal cap came with the kit as it wasn't listed on the kit part list, so I purchased those separately. Not a big deal as it was only a couple of dollars and not enough to worry about. Part Select does an excellent job in making sure you have the right parts and break out drawings to show exactly what's needed to complete the repair. This is the third or fourth experience with them and the accuracy and quick response more than met my needs.

The agitator was not working properly.

I open the cap on the top of the agitator, inside there is another cap take that one off, then take the screw out than replace the agitator cam kit and replace it also there is a inner cap seal that need to change then put everything back together close all the caps and start washing again.

The top portion of the agitator stopped working

First I watched the online video to be sure of the parts I would need and for any tips that might make the repair easier.(The video suggested replacing the bolt, and it looked to me to be a good idea to replace the seal). I removed the softener dispenser (which exposed the inner cap). Then I removed the inner cap (which exposed the agitator bolt). I removed the bolt and lifted out the agitator. Popped the top portion off, replaced the directional cogs and then put it all back together. I am a fairly handy person but appliances are not my thing. The video gave me all the assurance I needed. Fifteen minutes and $15; sure beats calling a repairman!
