sat down with a beer to evaluate problem. removed torx screws from inside of dishwasher. tried using beer to hold door down. spilled beer, so needed another. removed 2 screws holding handle on and spilled beer looking for them. attached handle and installed inner panel. all-in-all pretty good !!
I followed the steps outlined by other consumers on the web site. It was very easy except that one screw was stripped and difficult to remove; hence the pliers. Had to hold the screw with pliers so that I could remove it with screw driver. Other than that, it was a snap.
Removed the 10 screws from the back of the door, them removed the two screws holding the latch handle in place. Put the new handle in place and reversed the procedure.
First I removed the screws that hold the oven doors. I than removed the oven doors from the oven and took them apart. I unscrewed the old hinges and replaced them with new ones. The old ones were bent when they were installed.. Once the new hinges were on I put the doors back on and the oven doors closed perfectly. I was than able to use the automatic oven cleaner on the lower oven for the first time since the doors closed tight. I spent less than $ 200. to fix it and saved over $3,000. by not having to buy a new double oven. Great company and I did not have to call a repair man who would have told me to buy a new oven.
Piece of cake. I removed the 10 strar type screws from the door frame, removed the old handle and replaced it. about 15 -20 minutes of my time.
Removed 10 screws on back of door. Removed two screws from broken handle. Installed new handle with previously-removed two screws. Replaced back of door. Snap if you have a Torx driver of the correct size.
Remove all screws holding the inner panel and lift the inner panel exposing the screws holding the handle. Remove the screws holding the broken handle, replace the handle with the new part and re-assemble.
unscrewed back of dishwasher off, screwed new handle in place
Had to take door apart to put new handle on, and then pull out the unit from cabinet to put on the new cable. But door do longer slams open. So Happy that it is now fixed.
