Bake Element WP866375

I read up on how to replace this via your comments and a youtube video. The most difficult part was prying off the caps from the element. We used tape to hold the wires in place so they would not go back into the wall. It was so gratifying to see the heating element turn red again. I forgot how often I make a homemade loaf of banana bread, cookies or a homemade meal. Having the basics in life is everything. Customer service was great, too. I thought my part was lost at delivery and you were going to send out a new one. The delivery worker had just placed the package under my front stoop bench. Thanks again. Order the part. My oven is the original oven from 1987 and works beautifully.

Bottom element replacement. My part arrived in good condition and on time. It was a straightforward easy installation took about 15 minutes. Oven is working great again.

The part fit like a glove and it works well. Completely fixed my pre-warm and bake temparature issues. With that said, the left side wire that was supposed to be disconnected from the element burned out and pulled away from the hole in the back of the oven. I had to pull the entire unit out of the wall cab. and take out the rear heat shield to retrace the wire and feed it back through the hole. Give yourself time and be ready for any type of scrutiny. My stove is 35 years old, so no surprise that the element and the connector wire to burned out. 15 min. fix sounds dreamy, but it was more like an 1hr+.
