My washing machine works, but will not move forward to the next cycle. I can manually move the knob to rinse, and it works. Them i move it to spin, and it works. But it will not cycle on it's own. Is this the timer device?
For model number 110.24622300
Hello Deanna, thank you for inquiring. Yes, you will want to replace this Timer, part number PS11746306 for your model. You may also want to consider the Lid Switch Assembly, part number PS11742021. Good luck with your repair!

The machine stopped mid cycle and just hummed. The sound seems to be coming from the timer and sounds like a clicking rattle in other positions. Does it sound like a faulty timer?
For model number 11024632300
Hi Mike,
That is a good question. It does sound like the timer might be the culprit, however, if the timer is not advancing there are some other parts that you may have to look at as well. Some of the other parts you will have to check are, the lid switch assembly, the direct drive motor couplings, the direct drive water pump and the timer dial. For the electrical parts, I would use a multimeter to check the continuity of the them to see if they are causing the issue. I hope this helps with the repair. Thank you and have a great day!
