Door handle broke

Unscrewed top 6 screws to pull away panel and replaced handle and attached the springs. Screwed panel back in. Handle is made of plastic, which is why is breaks so easily. Also product numbers are confusing using both ones and the letters I and L.

Handle pivot cracked off, so dw would not lock closed

removed the top panel (6 screws), popped of the old handle, poppd on the new one, added the springs, and reassambled top panel. The nly thing that would have been easier is if the top panel did not need screws! Took 5 minutes to complete. Good self-service design.

Pivot point broke off latch handle

I removed the 6 screws that hold the top door panel in place. Then pulled the door panel up but didn't disconnect the electrical plugs. I popped the latch loose from the cover and removed the door switch from the latch mechanism. I then snapped the broken latch handle from the latch mechanism and snapped the new one in place. I replaced the door switch with a nut driver and snapped the latch and handle assembly back in place to the door panel. I slid the upper door panel in place on the door and replaced the 6 screws. It was a simple repair and the new parts fit perfectly. I must commend PartsSelect on their delivery service. I ordered the parts on Saturday and received them on Tuesday during the busy Christmas week. It made my job easy.

THe upper portion of the door was removed to gain access to the latch assembly.Removing wires and loosening nuts and micro switch screw allowed me to remove the assembly. The door handle was loose and not returning to it's home position

Took the top 6 screws out of the door and removed the top front panel. Saw that the handle was broken and one of the springs had fallen into the door. Ordered the replacement parts (diagrams on the site were great!). Once received, easily replaced the handle and the springs. Tested and everything worked like a champ. It literally could not have been easier.
