the old handle was held in place with two screws.the screws were removed, handle came off right away and then the new handle was place on the door and the screws were replaced.
First, I unscrewed the two screws on the broken handle, using an allen wrench. Then, I screwed on the new handle in it's place. The new grey handle is much lighter in color than the original charcoal grey of the washer, but it blends well and works perfectly.
Ordered the part. When it came we needed to find the correct screwdriver because the screw did not work with philips head screwdriver. We used slotted even though it wasn't that type of screw. It worked just fine and installed very easily. It worked great.
I removed two screws and removed broken piece and replaced the handle with the same two screws. The color and match of the handle was perfect.
I removed the screws holding the fragment of the door, removed the door fragment then placed the screws in my new replacement door (that got here in record time - THANKS!), put it in place, fastened the 2 screws and the problem was solved!!! I am NOT a diyer so this was great for me!!!
I unscrewed thebolts from the old handle using a small flat screwdriver and removed the cracked handle. I then tossed away all the old duct tape holding the old handle together. Replaced new handle using same old bolts.Strongly cautioned children and husband to not wrench the washer handle open and closed. Tah Dah! Done.
First I waited 6 days after i was E-mailed the part was shipped until it was shipped, then waited two more days to get the part! Then i removed two TORX screws removed old handle then installed the new one in reverse order.
Took two screws out, removed broken handle, replaced with new handle and put two screws back in. Ridiculously easy. :)
unscrewed 2 screws on each handle. The old ones came off and I screwed the new ones on. Easy to find the right part and easy to repair.
Using just a screwdriver it took less than 5 minutes to repair...way too easy! Voila I was back to doing laundry...guess that makes me happy? Back in the day I would have just bought a new washer because I never realized how easy some repairs are...and I now have a happy hubby too!
removing the old srews was a little difficult but once it was done it was much easier to replace the new product.
After an effortless process with PartSelect with locating, purchasing and receiving the replacement handle in three days, I removed the broken handle by removing two star type screws and removed the broken handle. I placed the new handle in the appropriate location and reinserted the two screws, tightening same. DONE. I will not hesitate to use PartSelect again in the future as the service provided is as great as thier webpage indicates they are. A wonderful shopping experience from beginning to end.
Removed screws from broken door handle, placed new handle, replaced screws. Couldn't be easier
I removed both screws form the broken handle. I then removed the rubber strip and replaced it on the new handle. I put the 2 screws back in and I was finished. I did it all myself without the help of my husband.
