While cleaning dripped fluid into Igniter Assembly
I shorted out the igniter assembly snd called a recommended repairman. He came over and called the appliance warehouse he deals with and they quoted him $169.00 for the part with 15 to 20 working days for delivery. He told me it will be a total of $300.00 to repair. After he left I checked on your website and found the part and ordered it. It took 2 days for delivery and was less than $30.00. After reading your simple instructions it took less than 30 min to repair. I took the screws holding the burners off and raised the burner assembly. I removed the old ignitor assembly and installed the new. The lead attachments were different so I cut and spliced the old attachment onto the new. Easy.

burner wouldn't light
In cleaning range top with control knobs off, cleaner splashed onto the plastic sandwich containing wires, etc. "spark spark whoosh puff." Turned off electricity, removed sandwich which controled the burner which didn't light and discovered a cooked interior. Going to PartSelect, matched model number, drawing of part, click, order, wait one day. Each burner had to be removed with the star-flower screwdriver, range lid removed. The assembly was a connected set of five. Unsnap old, Insnap new. Easy, peasy. The difficult part was elevating the range tray with one knee to a level where the burners could be screwed back in. It works! New widow, I didn't need directions or physical assistance. Just make certain you have that special little screw driver to remove the burner.

Water has found its way into the range and shorted the ingnition switch/wire lead assembly and shorted.
I removed the unit from the countertop after turning off and disconnecting the gas. I removed the top panel of the range by removing the burner bases held in place with two torx screws each. Remove the knobs and the whole panel will lift off. After the panel is off the wire lead assembly will just pull off and unplug. The new one is a direct fit. Assemble with the reverse order of disassembly.
