The function of the grease filter is to trap grease into the filter from the exhaust air. The grease filter is intended to be used with certain downdraft cooktops and ranges. This grease filter is roughly fourteen inches long and almost twelve inches wide, and chrome in color. Removing your old grease filter and replacing it with a new one is an easy job, users say it took them less than fifteen minutes to install. We recommend that when removing your current grease filter, you use work gloves to protect your hands and clean the entire area thoroughly before installing the new filter.
This part works with the following brands: Whirlpool, Admiral, Estate, Inglis, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Roper, Maytag, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Hardwick, Magic Chef, Amana, Caloric & Glenwood.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
The 15-year-old Jen-Air stove started smelling really bad. I thought it was a dead animal stuck in the exhaust tube which runs under the floor to the outside. I flushed it out with clorine bleach, but it was still bad. It turned out to the be the grease filter. I washed it every week in the diswasher, but it just was not enough to get it clean enough. Finally, the grease went rancid and smelled really bad. This "repair" took about 30 seconds.

Removed 2 screws and lifted the control panal. Replaced the switch. Could not use nuts that came with the switch. Had to reuse the oringinals.
Oh this was a toughie and I was sweating it out. With a delicate touch I removed the old knob and pushed on the new knob, 5 seconds
It is so easy. Once I found the right size of filter from the website, I ordered it right away. It came in 3 days and I just need to take out the old one and insert the new one. No instruction is necessary. By the way, the price of the filter is one third of that from Jenn-air.
The filter came and it was bent out of shape on 2 sides. My husband carefully tried to bend it back into shape. It is very flimsy and is not made as well as the one that was being used that was probably several years old. I did not want the hassel of returning the filter and trying to get a new one sent.
Parts arrived very quickly & the installation was quick & easy. Will order again.

Replaced worn parts
Replacement isn't an install. Just put the grills on top, and the filter inside. Perfect fit. The great thing is the price. I purchased these off brand parts for about one third the price if i had purchased through the manufacturer!!
Simply replaced these items with no difficulty. John legrand
We replaced the burner grates, knobs, air filter and burner pan. Looks as good as new!

Remove and replace grease filter.
Although I am a surgeon, my past experiences trying to repair worn-out 25 year-old appliances have not gone well. Therefore, I approached this entire episode with great deal of doubt and apprehension. However, the knowledge and helpfulness of the sales representative from whom I telephone ordered the units, the very clear installation instructions which promptly arrived with the units, and the very well engineered units themselves made the installation a breeze, less than ten minutes. I wish all my surgeries were this easy.Robert A Gryboski, M.D.Farmington, CT
