The docking station is located on the water supply tube at the far back. It provides water to the upper and middle spray arm and also includes the flappers.
This part works with the following brands: Whirlpool, Admiral, Estate, Inglis, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Roper, Maytag, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Hardwick, Magic Chef, Amana, Caloric & Glenwood.
This part fixes the following symptoms:
Taking the upper and middle dish racks out, I reached in and pulled out the old parts, then popped the new ones on. All of the ususal tips for our problem weren't cutting it, so we finally figured the seals at the back of the dishwasher were not effective in keeping the appropriate amount of water pressure in the spray arms. The rubbery seals had been degraded by harsh detergents. We ordered the new seals from your company after a phone call to verify we were choosing the correct parts and easily put them in place. Now our dishwasher does what it was designed to do! And less than $40.00 including shipping! We did not need a new dishwasher.

I removed the upper and lower trays. In the process I broke one of the rail stops. They snap in & out but if your not familiar with how they work it's easy to break one. After removing the trays the docking stations snap out with little effort. The flappers push into the openings on the docking station and then just snap the docking station into place. The door handle broke (cheap plastic) so I replaced the whole assembly. You'll need a #20 torx driver to remove the screws around the inside door panel. Lift the panel up just enough to remove the switch and handle assembly. With a small flat blade screwdriver pry off the electrical connectors. Open the circuit breaker to the dishwasher if you're not comfortable with working on live circuits. Remove and replace the switch assembly, replace the connectors, and replace the screws to the door panel. It's so easy
Removed dish racks, snapped out docking station and snapped in new station. Works great! Saved big bucks. Thanks.
We removed upper basket by snaping open and removing rollerslide caps. The docking station simply snapped into place. It only snapped in one way so we were certain it is installed correctly. That part was missing from the factory and I feel a little angry that we had to buy it and install it ourselves. We would never have known why our dishwasher wasn't working like it should if we hadn't seen the inside of another one that belonged to a friend.
unsnapped old docking station and snapped in new one. woks just like new. thanks partselect.I'll be back.
This couldn't have been easier. After unsnapping the docking station from the dishwasher, I aligned the two flapper valves that come with the unit and pressed them into place. I then pushed the new unit into place by pushing first on the left side and then the right until it clicked into place.I looked at the old one and found that one flapper was gone and the gaskets were deteriorated. What made the whole process easier was buying from PartSelect. I have bought from them before and will again.
the part we received has changed, and so it did not fit our dishwasher after all. i was able to remove one flapper from the part and put it on my old one, and now the water pressure is much better, and the dishes are actually getting cleaned.
