patience running thin
after my serviceman saw that the 1st set of door hinges i ordered were different size & shape than the original parts that needed to be replaced. I called PartSelect and was told by Pauline that in fact the hinges I had received were not the correct parts for my oven. So the hinges I am reviewing were my 2nd attempt to get the "correct" hinges but to my utter dismay these parts did not even resemble the actual parts that needed to be replaced & I didn't even have to pay my serviceman another call before calling and talking to yet another PartSelect representative. I have returned both of the parts in order 1 and order 2 and was told by the 3rd representative, whose name I can't remember due to my exploding blood pressure, that the 1st set of hinges that I had received were the correct parts because that hinge had replaced the original part. (Why didn't Pauline who I talked to for the 2nd order know that information?) So I ordered the hinges I received and returned from the 1st order again! I don't even know if I have been credited for any of the returns but I definitely had to pay out each time I ordered hinges. And you won't believe this but in my 3rd order ( but 2nd order of the same door hinge) I received 1 hinge and the other is on backorder...OMG!!! My oven has been taken apart since July 7th!!! This is the funny part....my serviceman tells me after I ordered for the 3rd time that he doesn't see how that 1st hinge I ordered originally could ever replace the original set due to the difference in size and shape. Won't that just take the cake if HE IS RIGHT? Wonder who will be right this time?... PartSelect or any actual average serviceman who has repaired just about anything I have ever called him for in the last 20 years? I know that I am at the end of my patience with PartSelect!
