This part works with the following brands: Whirlpool, Admiral, Estate, Inglis, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Roper, Maytag, Crosley, Jenn-Air, Hardwick, Magic Chef, Amana, Caloric & Glenwood.
Couldn't be simpler; since the old one was already falling apart, it came out easily, and then you simply snap the new one in. Glad that it worked out so well and my microwave is as if nothing ever happened to it. Whirlpool was going to send a technician to my home since they don't sell the part to consumers.

The microwave was a built in so I needed to remove five screws from the metal band around the frame, and two screws that attached the control panel to the microwave. After that I lifted the control panel up and out. The replacement of the button was easy once I released the clip on the defective one with a screw driver. The old springs were still good, and the new button slid right in. All works fine. The control panel also controls the built-in oven, so if I could not fix it it would have meant I had to buy a whole new combo oven Microwave. I was told it could not be repaired. Thanks to you I proved them wrong, and saved a couple thousand in the process. Not a bad investment for less than $10.
The button fell apart, then fell out of the microwave. I found the part on the internet and print the page. Went to my local Sears to see if they had part in stock. Sears uses something just above a DOS base computer system. If you do not have the exact part number they can not help you-mind you the part itself does not have a number on it. Anyhow, I order the part which arrived in three days. Simply, put the old spings in place and snaped the piece in place.
Very Simple just popped the new one in (along with exsisting springs) and it works like new. THANKS for the quick shipping part was recieved the day after it was ordered.
Thank you for having this part or we would have had to purchase another microwave to fit our wall oven unit. The repair took 3 seconds to slip the springs on the new part and fit it in place.
Opened the package, removed the push button. Slid the three return springs onto the three plastic "prongs" located on the back of the push button. Placed the push button and springs into the retaining hole and pushed into place.
Remove the broken rail and replace. Use the same screw to attach the new one. The new rail does not come with any screw. So make sure to keep the old screws. When ordering, mcheck the diagram properly so that you won't get the wrong side rail.
Simply set it inot the hole. Absolutely not big deal and now the door opens as the applicance was created to. We no longer have duck tape holding a boken one in place. I wish I knew of this website earlier.
When we received the part, it had an extra little tab on it which had no place to fit in our microwave. We were able to saw the extra tab off, place it (with the spring) in the opening, and it worked!
