Spring for oven door broke.
Super easy! Took more time to remove the four screws. We are in our 80's so you know it had to be easy for us to do.
at first I couldn't get the knob on but after placing a little Vaseline on it, it went right on.

The plastic oven knob broke.
I took the new knob out of the plastic bag and placed it on the oven. The whole process took les than one minute and no tools were needed.

We lost our knob, and it was very difficult to turn the fan on or off
I googled Kitchenaid along with the model number and Parts Select came up. I then entered the model number along with what I wanted, and scrolled through different pictures until I found a sketch of my cooktop with individual numbers for each part. I need a knob for the wall oven. Inside the knob i found the following # 3162-42. What part do i need? I found a knob but none of the part numbers match what i have. This oven was installed in 1988 and is still working just fine. Just need the knob.

Hello Carol, thank you for your question. Yes, the knob for the unit is part number WP4168403. This is a substitution part, but will function with your appliance. This knob will replace any of the 4 larger knobs on the unit. The clock knobs have been discontinued by the manufacturer. I hope this helps!
