Easy Repair
This was an easy repair to make, but unfortunately it didn't fix my problem. My timer was bad, but i also had a fuse that needed replacing. After replacing both parts, my dryer works like new.

One wire at a time
Exactly the same as original. Except this one worked. Lots of wires, just transfer the one at a time.

One day I noticed that the dryer didn't turn off and the timer appeared not to be moving. We continued to use the dryer by setting timers on our phone. Now the dryer won't turn on at all. When we try to "start", we hear a slight high pitched sound but nothing happens. I assume that we need a new timer but i wanted to ensure that i was correct before purchasing a new one. Thanks!

Dryer will not start on any cycle other than perm press. Works fine on that. Sound like the timer?
For model number LER7646EQ2
Hello Brian, Thank you for your inquiry. It is one of the causes, but you can test it with a multimeter to see if it has continuity. The other parts we recommend to check would be: the thermal fuse, internal bias thermostat, high limit thermostat, timer power resistor, door switch and temperature switch. You can also test these with a multimeter as well. Hope this helps!
