Timer would not advance
First I watched the "how to video" that corresponds with the part I ordered on the Parts Select web site. The instructions given in the video were so clear and complete that the job was incredibly easy. Parts Select makes appliance repair so easy that Im willing to bet that even the "May Tag" repair man becomes more lonely

After filling, did not drain, spin, or timer advance to next cycle
1. Removed wet clothing, evacuated water using Python No Spill Aquarium Maintenance System. No mess or water on the floor. 2. Turned off hot & cold water supplies, and unplug unit before moving. 3. Removed unit water supply hoses, and moved unit. The drain hose remained attached while moving to prevent spills. 4. Removed unit from laundry room, and took to the garage on a dolly.

Wash cycles not moving forward
First UNPLUG THE WASHING MACHINE. Then unscrew the knob and then pull off the bezel (with the arrow on it). Then remove two screws alont the top-back of the unit. Then the two screws located at the base of the control panel section (about six inches from the top - in the back). The cover slides off to expose the timer. There are two more screws on the front (under where the knob was located) that hold the timer in place - they need to be removed. Then pull out the three wire harnesses (I saved the small one for last since it was the hardest to remove - I needed a small screw driver to push down the small plastic latch). Switch out the old timer for the new one and reverse all the steps.

Push pull timer control when pulled out and then pushed in we hear a hum and then it will either work or does not start the function ie..wash, rinse, spin.. when we leave it alone for a few minutes it works. safe to assume the timer needs replacing? do you guys sell the part?

Hi Brad, Thank you for your question. We do sell the timer for your washer. The part number listed under your model number for the timer is PS11742075. Based on what you described this may be the issue. Before replacing it I would check continuity of the one you currently have with a multimeter. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue as well . You will need to check the lid switch, the direct drive motor coupling and the lid strike. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Whirlpool washer imperial series ultimate care II. Knob just spins and does not advance to different settings. Can it be fixed without buying a complete timer, manufacturer part 3954071?
For model number Whirlpool washer imperial ultimate care II. Around 2003

Hello Terry, Thank you for your inquiry. You can check the knob to see if it is cracked inside, but if it is the shaft on the timer that is broken, then you would have to replace the timer. To provide you with the correct part number for the knob, we would need the model number of your washer and have provided a link on where to find it. We hope this helps.
