Hi Harold, Thank you for the question. If you look at the back of the timer switch there is a small pin, this pin has to be pushed into the switch. The pin goes up through the shaft the knob is on, and pushes small tabs out to grab the knob and hold it in place. I suggest checking to see if this pin is fully inserted into the back of the knob. It seems like you might have two separate issues here: Not agitating: This certainly sounds like it could be a faulty motor coupling PS1485646 and/or possibly a malfunctioning clutch PS334641 you should check the part(s) for signs of damage and replace the part(s) as needed.
