The repair was simple. Loosened the back of the washer, unplugged the inlet valve electrically, removed two bolts and just reversed the above to install the new unit. Part was an exact replacement and fit perfectly. No hassel repair. Service from Parts Select was exceptional. Recieved the part in less than 12 hours. Cost of the part locally was quoted at $60.00 not including labor to install it or the service call. Got the part from Parts Select for $11.38 plus shipping. Parts Selects service and prices are exceptional. A++ in my book!Beloit, Wisconsin
unpluged the electric cord. turned the water off. removed the two water hoses. HOT and COLD , the top lid to the washer is a little tricky the 4 screws are located under the lid , you must move the drum in to a corner and then remove that screw , you do this in all 4 corners of the washer . slide the top part of the washer backwards the back pannel will open up some . then remove the two silnoid plugs , take a pair of plires to remove the small hose . change the part . the reverse the prosses.
Easy fix,took back cover off,replace valve,thats about it,parts select was great,fast ship,and everything!!
1st I turned the water off from the wall. 2nd I turned a cycle on to drain water from the hose.3rd I gained access to the part inside the washer.4th I disconnected the hot & cold water inlets. 5th I disconnected the hose going to the tub. 6th Removed the 2 screws from the back of the washer, holding the Universal Water Inlet Valve & removed it. 7th Reversed steps 3 through 6 & installed the new item. Note: An adapter was in the box for the different size of the new valve.Don't forget to turn the water back on.
Unplug power cord amd remove hoses. Remember or mark hot and cold. Remove screws (2), one on either side of control panel at the lower right and left. At the rear top remove two screws (one from either side). Slide control panel slightly forward (plastic feet attach it to top of washer). Pull up and lay control panel aside (still connected by timer wires.) Rear panel is connected by two spring clips under control panel. Slide screw driver under the middle of each and gently pry up. This loosens top portion of back panel of washer. Two screws hold Inlet Valve and two push on electrical connectors and connected to Inlet solenoids. Remove electrical connectors and remember which go to which. Remove hose on back of inlet valve with pliers. Reinstall new valve in reverse. Reattach back panel, reattach clips, put control panel back in slots on top of washer, reattach two top screws at rear of control panel, replace two screws at bottom of control panel (DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN-WILL BREAK PLASTIC CONTROL PANEL). Reattach power and hoses. 15-30 minutes tops.
