Gasket was falling off, needed replacement

Removed door gasket that was on the door. Replaced with newer gasket (was a tad bit too big, so it slipped off as well.) Added some electrical tape to hold it on. Works like a charm.

Seal snapped, which lead to longer dry cycles.

Just slipped it on, it was very simple. My dry cylces were reduced. Worth the $15 I spent to get the part!!!!

Replacement part unavailable for six weeks or more

The reported time for repair really should have been "repair abandoned" - I had to return the part - ordered the wrong part -- too small for my dryer. There was a lot of agony over the part number because I had been given a a booklet for a different model than came with my condo unit. Then we found out that the replacement part for my model was backordered, something I had already been told by a local repair service. They said it had already been on back order since April and sounded cautious about an end of September delivery. Since I have been told that my dryer could safely function without the door gasket, I have decided on a "hospice" choice for this equipment which by best estimates dates back to 1993.

Door gasket broke into pieces

It was so easy! I simply fit the gasket into the groove where the old one had been. Didn't even need any tools.
