Cloths dryer timer would not advance and shut off automatically
Changing out the part was easy. However the new part did not solve the problem, still won’t advance . Partselect says”electrical parts that show signs of being installed absolutely cannot be returned “ so I have a $175 part to sit on my shelf. Lesson: You better know for sure why causes the Problem.

Would not shut off
Disconnected power removed 6 screws in the top panel. Removed control knob removed 2 screws that holds timer in place. Installed wires on the new timer put the screws back in. Plugged the dryer back in ran a load of wet clothes through a cycle everything worked perfect very easy fix.

What the best way to replace the timer? Take apart the top console to get to the timer?
